Yesterday D woke me up with the words, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
Groggily I wondered if he meant sleeping in, watching soap operas, and eating bonbons. I did, after all, start my maternity leave yesterday (despite the fact that Baby Girl seems quite content to remain in utero). But I didn't say anything. Just smiled and kissed him good bye as he left for work. And then I rolled over and went back to sleep for fifteen minutes.
Today he woke me with a kiss and the words, "Happy Anniversary." I had forgotten. It's two years today.Groggily I wondered if he meant sleeping in, watching soap operas, and eating bonbons. congratulations, britt! 2 years! woo-hoo! y'all are just spring chickens. =)
Happy bonbons & soap operas--I mean--anniversary ;)
ooh...btw...i noticed you are reading _babywise_ -- great ideas in that book, but don't get too down on yourself if it doesn't work for you. my boys could NOT self-soothe until 5mo & nobody who was an advocate of the book would believe me. take what you can from each book you read & adapt it all to work with your baby & your family. you're going to be a great mama.
I wonder if that had something to do with them being twins? I bet it does... Thanks for the thoughts.
